Can someone tell me how to turn off the "distance alert" beeping on a 2020 Mack Anthem?
This thing is driving me crazy.
    Thank you

Turn the cruise on and it keeps the distance without beeping. Otherwise it’s like an alarm clock all day long. I think they created it to be annoying so we would use the cruise control.

:biggrin_2559:,,,I'm sorry,,,,I've been accused of being insensitive, but,,,:biggrin_2559:, this just gets better and better,,,my "distance alert" were my eyes and my right foot, boy things have changed,:biggrin_25513:,,maybe back off a couple hundred yards, IDK,,no offense to the poster, but it's an insult to our intelligence( if any) these trucks today.

The problem is if you run up behind someone going slower it will slowly start taking speed off. Next thing you know (or don't know if you aren't paying attention) you are going 64 instead of 68 because it keeps you at a certain distance from other vehicles. Starts at around 400 feet.

Again, times sure have changed, 1st, we never had "cruise control", unless you brought a brick from home, 2nd, the only warning device we had was a low air buzzer, we never "ran up on someone", we were lucky to get the 55mph speed limit, and didn't need "distancing control". Our common sense did that for us. You were a fool to "over drive" semis years ago. With a 238, "under driving" was no problem,,,

It is there for a reason. Go to your CDL Manual and study up on Following Distance.
