usually there is a ZERO tolerance for speeding in construction zones.

fines are very often doubled, even tripled in some areas.

points on the CDL can be very high too.

    firing can be imminent.

you seem to ask many questions on fines, violations and whether or not you can be fired.

seriously, are you yanking our chain, or are you really that not aware of anything related to your CDL?

did you know that common sense and responsible PROFESSIONAL driving are paramount to YOUR safety as well as others on the road?

then i can assure, you, his picture was taken, and a fine sent in the mail.

they could even have "chase cars" up the road as well, just waiting for thier next victims....

ZERO tolerance for speeding in construction zones, school zones, etc

Though I got caught in a non working newly erected construction zone along with 2 other guys at the end of 31 one late night winding down I have no tolerance for vehicles speeding thru construction zones.

Downright dangerous trying to maneuver down off the shoulder through some of detours with just inches between the erected concrete barriers and the white Volvo alongside of you trying to Blow by.

Mmm, if you see a trooper standing on the side of the road with a camera don't wave at them. They will take a picture and say you were holdng a cell phone.....

Better to just give them the finger so they have no doubt of what you were doing.

As others have said, speeding in the construction zone is zero tolerance in most states.

Knuckleheads get lulled into a false sense of security....."I never see a cop here".

    Until you do.

I was WB on I-64 thru the construction zone near Beckley, WV a few months ago, when it was all curvy with a 45mph limit.

About 3am. I'm doing the "All trucks left lane" thing.

One of those Audi sedans goes blowing by me at what seemed like 70mph.

    I cursed them with gusto.

When I get to the end of the zone, I see WV's finest, blues lit and parked behind an Audi.

I wish there was room to pull the truck over, thank the trooper, shake hands, and get a selfie with him.

I notice both VA and WV run that play often, park at the end of the cz and pick 'em off on the way out.

Be careful out there. Slow down in the barrels
