I want to build something like this what do you think

I love the round headlights and horns.
The thing that makes me personally not interested in doing anything with the ‘85 is the rectangle headlights of the ‘84’s and up. They have to be round ‘83 or older for me. I love the round. Some guys like the rectangler and that works for them and that’s great. It still didn’t keep me from rescuing this cool truck from the recycler. It’s still cool history and didn’t need to die that way.

I saw your post on your Dad’s Flocoe and that is gonna be gorgeous when it’s done.

 

A friend of my dad always ordered his FL’s with single round headlights. I always thought that was cool because you didn’t see them in o/o spec’d trucks very much.

 

Go for it, 280 wheelbase atleast.

 

Sweet truck. I'd love to have an old cabover.

 

Here's you a few to look at.

 

They "explode" to bleed off energy as a crush factor. I don't know why a newer truck would catch fire any quicker than a cabover. The volume of truckers on the road today is much greater than when people were driving cabovers. Most of them have gone home too without dying. I have no idea why anyone would want one, but there is always someone that wants to be different. I can't imagine anything riding worse then sitting over the top of the front wheels. But it's not my problem. Just putting in my two cents.
