Some trucks actually run faster on cruise than the pedal to encourage you to use it. So there is no way to pass unless you pull out and block traffic or enjoy doing 63 for a 100 miles. The Ps have nothing to do with trying to override this crap.

Ours will activate the drive cam and snap a photo if you dont back off or brake quick enough to put distance between the two units. Anytime under 200 feet.
I had 4 events captured and the boss photocopied them and slipped em into my mailbox when I came in today...
And he's never so much ridden in a truck.
Told him I was done driving to the camera.
I'll back off the throttle but will not brake.
Alas...if only they could get the camera to drive they could save on paper and ink.
They promptly got tossed into the garbage can.
No sooner did I leave out this morning did I get another picture. Guy passes and cuts back in and slows down, like 15 yards ahead.
And this was just as I left, a quarter mile from our plant..and our rigs can't even reach the legal speed limit.
Of course if you move over to pass they will wake up...loves me the drivecam.
Oh well, looks like I've got mail.. -
I'd love to hear from "Papa Joe" on this one,,

you really have to try hard for ours to record anything. it is nice in the event you need to cover your ###. i forced a recording after i was sideswiped by a dunk that also decided to drive off.
the only questionable instance i've had in a few hundred thousand miles was the cms stomping the brakes for me in semi-bad weather. a car took an exit ramp, was clear of my path by a solid 20' laterally... it thought otherwise and stabbed the brakes. luckily i wasnt going very fast and the upset was easily recovered. but #### did it make a pucker moment.Trucking in Tennessee Thanks this. -
