All of the above if specced properly and driven right.

Depends on load and specs.
A van snugged up against the truck will do much better then a heavy haul load in open air and all that wind resistance.
There's also region. Flat land will do better then the rocky mountains.Loudstacks Thanks this. -

Check out Provost Motorsports on U tube. He has a Newer Volvo with the compounding turbo & Ishift. He routinely averages high 9's pulling fairly heavy van loads, including difficult terrain.
It would be great if someone could do a detailed comparison of similarly spec'd trucks.Loudstacks Thanks this. -
I have one of the new International LTs with the A26 and have four quarters IFTA of 9mpg or slightly higher. 72k average gross, reefer, Midwest to Northeast and New England, regional run, then back to the Midwest. It’s been really good, 355k miles on it now.
The new Gen5 DD15 is coming out in January and the Mack/Volvo turbo compound engine. In my opinion those are your 3 best options. A lot of guys love Cummins, but if you want a 15L, the Gen5 DD15 beats it by a long shot. After that, it’s all in the specs. There’s a lot you can do now. If you’re specing a truck for 80k max weight, don’t get a ratio with a 3 in front of it.Loudstacks, 062 and Crude Truckin' Thank this.
