Dawn is abrasive soap which is why it works great on dishes.. If anything u might be hurting your clear coat on the paint.

Dawn is also great for getting oil off of baby ducks. Or so I’ve heard.

Can’t beat Dawn dish soap. Goop or any lanolin type while smooth hand cleaner for really tough grease. Same thing for a grease covered shower. Hand cleaner with Tide for the Laundry.

    Siinman Thanks this.

I normally used turtle wax's ice product to wash with a big ole brush and the two bucket method..I soak it and rince with the hose at the house..
Although i have used dawn in a pinch it does strip off any wax you already had on it..
Been trying out the chemical brothers stuff..Im kinda diggin it to..

I use chemical guys honey dew snow foam during the midweek wash for my truck. Just blast it on the truck then rinse it off with the pressure washer. I’ll make a bucket with blue dawn soap if I hav to scrub the frame and tires. Then hit the cab and windows with their banana spray wax.

weekend wash is mostly dawn soap and the brush. Then spray wax cab as usual. Here in Vegas I wash at about 2-3am so I can be finished by 6-7am. No streaks or spots

Dawn strips the wax off, not ideal for vehicles

I’ve been using chem-x liquid x on my paint which has been pretty good, have chemical guys or even just the meguires from an auto store works too. Chem x also has a mild degreaser (redline) that I use on the back half for fenders and such to get grease off, along with a mild aluminum cleaner on my wheels/boxes/tank ends, I use simple green on the motor and the actual rears,

you need a hot water pressure washer to actually get it clean cold water does nothing, little rebel red on the aluminum and turtle wax tire foam and shes good to go after 4-5 hours

    Vampire and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
