When this law came into effect over 90% of speeding tickets given to commercial vehicles were in 80km/hr zones or less.

I've always wondered... what do they do with guys that have trucks like mine that are all mechanical? Pretty hard to govern a c model cat.

    Canadianhauler21 Thanks this.

Could be a number of things, if they a fleet carrier they get better insurance rates if trucks are governed under certain speeds. Others do it to save at the pump. Company I worked for in Western Canada did that as well. Sucks as a driver holding up traffic. And not having the power to pass if needed.

The robot driving the autonomous tractor doesn't care. That is the end game....

Mechanical are exempt. My 444 cummins should do about 145/150kph

As of right now, they don’t even have a viable tool to check for speed limiters. MTO in Ontario and Quebec have abandoned using their ez tap tool for a multitude of reasons. Only way to be charged for it right now, is to be caught on radar at 115 or more.

Can't stand when that happens, they're oblivious to blocking the entire highway for 10 minutes trying to pass each other. Instead of the driver in the right lane lightly decelerating for 5-10 seconds to let the other pass and freeing it up. They don't give a ####
