When this law came into effect over 90% of speeding tickets given to commercial vehicles were in 80km/hr zones or less.
105KM/H Speed limiter law is awful.

I've always wondered... what do they do with guys that have trucks like mine that are all mechanical? Pretty hard to govern a c model cat.

Could be a number of things, if they a fleet carrier they get better insurance rates if trucks are governed under certain speeds. Others do it to save at the pump. Company I worked for in Western Canada did that as well. Sucks as a driver holding up traffic. And not having the power to pass if needed.

As of right now, they don’t even have a viable tool to check for speed limiters. MTO in Ontario and Quebec have abandoned using their ez tap tool for a multitude of reasons. Only way to be charged for it right now, is to be caught on radar at 115 or more.
