Landstar and Schneider both pay 65%, yet everyone prefers landstar

See, this is EXACTLY why I don't run with Landstar. I do not wish to negotiate with anyone. I'll take the scraps that Schneider feeds me and be happy with it.

 

That's true.

I discourage drivers from the load board because of a lack of enforcing the rules. A huge complaint about the agents is scraping loads off of other boards and putting them on on the ls internal board.

The other thing about ls that you don't get with schiender is you can deal with large agents who have a crap load of freight, build a relationship with them, meet with them face to face and sell your truck to them.

Ls is more than just sitting waiting for a dispatcher to call.

 

That’s crazy, 65%?! I pay 85% off confirmations. People too scared to take a risk I guess and settle for average.

I’d love to, but my just-surrendered unit was wrecked last year to the tune of 36k. Got t-boned by another truck that rolled out of a driveway three miles from the Phoenix OC. Bent frame, destroyed the front drive axle. I wasn’t happy about it being repaired, but it wasn’t my call. I leased that one intending to buy it, but this incident obliterated those plans.

 

I don't wait for ANYONE to call ever.

 

I'm waiting for someone to call and tell me the trailer is fixed.
