I’ve got a 15 prostar with 40k rear ends that seems to be having an odd recurring issue with the air suspension. About 2 months ago, I unloaded a load, went to pull out, and started spinning, the rear bags were way overinflated and the front drive wasn’t even contacting the ground enough to get traction. Replaced the leveling valve with one from dealer, got underway, it was fine. That leveling valve lasted about a week, and it failed in the typical way, suspension not fully airing up. Replaced that with a Hadley branded valve from fleetpride assuming I just got a bad valve. Now that valve is acting in a similar manner to the first failure. Even on flat ground my rear bags are fully inflated as if they were downhill of the front axle and I noticed a vibration today. I don’t have pressure gauges, but I do have the digital “scale” readout in the dash, which is pretty accurate but sitting still with the brakes set the weight will vary telling me the pressure is changing at the rear bags where the sensors are located. Anyone have any idea where I should look? I’ve looked for leaks both audible and with a soap solution and can’t find anything in the lines, valve, or bags, although I haven’t pulled the bags to fully inflate them and check the seams for leaks. I’m at a loss and I’d like to actually fix the issue versus spending hundreds in leveling valves only for them to take a dump in a week or month.

Take the control rod off the valve you have on now and see if the arm conn. to the air valve moves free thru all the travel and lets air out and then puts it back into air bags when its moved, I have seen some that do not travel far enough till they hit the stops inside the air valve and are broken inside by being pulled too far?
