Bad company won’t let me quit. Advice?

I agree. I didn't become an OTR driver because I like socializing. I am perfectly happy living in my own little space and only interacting with people online.

 

I agree. Don't need anymore "family." Never going to use the 'open door policy.' Not here for respect or any other thing that companies advertise to weak minds. And I sure as hell don't want to hold hands or need micromanaging or coddling.

 

I feel the same way. A common complaint I hear from people where I work is they don't care about us

My answer to that is always, "why should they?" Personally, I don't care if they care, I just want a big paycheck. So if they care does that mean I should tolerate a smaller paycheck? I'm underpaid, but my employer cares about me, or at least thats the illusion I'm under. It doesn't make sense.

If I buy into that it's a waste on my end. I require no "caring." Just pay me well. No feelings are needed, or wanted.

 

C'mon, we all need a little hug every once in awhile.

 

At work?. No way. There was a backlash against that kind of thing not so long ago and I will never have to worry about being caught up in it.

 

When I was working I had very few things I asked for, but demanded they happen. If they did not happen I left!
1. Treat me as an adult, I don't care if I am a number or simply Mike!
2. My paychecks not bounce and I get them on time!
3. I could speak to my FM, their boss, safety, and HR as I needed to!
4. They keep their equipment legal, and don't get cheap on this!
5. Keep me busy and when I need to get home make it happen ASAP!
6. Take care of me in regard to detention and pay me when I am broke down along with paying for my hotels.

Outside of this, I could NOT care less about the size of the carrier.
