You mean that snakes can climb or access a trucks interior? All you have to do is look around the truck at the places I mentioned. :p

    As for climbing...

Ok so now I think you're just trolling, because nobody could be so ignorant or geographically stupid to think that it doesn't get sub zero in some US states. Case in point North Dakota, Montana, you think the cold gets to the border and goes " whooooaa can't go there ". Try telling somebody on the Eastern seaboard that they don't get snow or someone in Chicago they don't get a wind chill. Give your head a shake FFS and go change your diaper. And watch out for the dreaded Snow Snake cuz he feeds off stupidity.

I can confirm I've been in the -25F neighborhood more than I want to in Wyoming and North Dakota.

And I'll bet I have just about everyone beat, being on station up in the Aleutians.

In the last 150 yrs of modern recorded history I think we may have bottomed out at 0 degrees once or twice down here and we rarely get below the +20’s and it snows once every 5 or so yrs. for one day. North Texas area, DFW, and the pan handle get snow every year for a day or two. One month or sometimes two of +30’s and 40’s is the norm so don’t worry about coming down here if you like sub zero deep freeze cold because our winters are still warm compared to Canadian standards.
50 and below is miserable to me. The problem down here with winters due to the Gulf humidity is its a wet rainy cold that quickly makes ice you can’t move on. Cold is one thing but wet and cold is miserable. You sweat and freeze inside your coat and your feet aways feel wet and cold. Brrrrrrr! I can’t wait. Down here we are 3 months away from it since it will still be in the 90’s in early November. Lol!

I can't believe no one has yet mentioned the Austin trouser snake. Watch out especially around the truck stops near Austin. There are these guys in the shadows who have them and they want to put these trouser snakes on you and they can be a big problem!

It'll hit that cold down here occasionally too, saw 30 below here in South Dakota last winter. I was in North Dakota and it was somewhere around 40 below. Ice storms knocking down trees and power lines aren't uncommon either.

Here’s the thing, almost 30 million people live in Texas, and almost none of them have ever been bitten by snakes. Most of them have never seen one.

Be careful around armadillos, though, they carry leprosy!

Lived in Texas first 30 years of my life. Got married, visited wife's family in Florida. First time I ever saw an armadillo was in Daytona (well, Edgewater)
