go buy a bp.machine.. w almart carries them and so do most of pharmacies.
get to your personal doctor right away to get bp in check..
don't wait till the last minute cause if you fail the next one, the for doctor won't give you another card till it's in control
they dont call hbp the silent killer for no reason

If you go for a second opinion I think you have to tell them about the first physical but I am not 100% sure. Might want to look in the regs if you decide to go that route

Firstly how is she incompetent if that really is his reading? She could be saving him from certain death, God forbid in some truck stop and not found for a couple of days.

Secondly OP, take your health seriously and get a second opinion asap.
You will want to get that in line before thinking about anything else.

I’d go to a doc to get it checked out. They’ll put you on bp meds. Also the day before stop drinking any stimulants caffeine soda etc. Don’t eat anything before the doc visit.Drink Pure water. No morning coffee. So you’ll get an accurate reading. Then you’ll find out if you really had a problem. 3 months is plenty of time to get it in check. You might have to do a serious lifestyle change in diet and exercise.

If I were you, go get on BP medications. She gave you a 3 month card, so you can still drive. Then get your yearly card.

Cut out the caffeine and sodium too. Walk as much as you can. Before pretrip, breaks, and at the end of day.

When I was 33 years old I had a stroke. I was in great physical shape. 5'7 120 lbs. I had bradycardia (low blood pressure), ran everyday.

I was in the military, training for my 3rd marathon. I had a migraine so I went home early. Took some migraine medication and went to bed.

By dinner time my headache was worse than it had ever been. I jumped in the shower to try to ease it. My husband had come to check on me. He asked me a question and my words were slurring. Luckily he was a medic and spotted the symptoms of a stroke. He went to get me a towel. I collapsed. He put me in a pair of his sweats and carried me to the car. Had a neighbor watch our 5 kids.

Took 10 mins to get to the hosp. He carried me in. They took my blood pressure and told my husband I had high BP. My husband said nope, I have bradycardia. Within seconds I was in the back getting tons of test. During that time I was paralyzed on my left side and it was crossing midline. They gave me a clot buster TPA. My right side woke immediately. My speech was still slurred. My left side was paralyzed. I looked over at my husband whom I have never seen cry and he was bawling. He said dirt was in his eyes. (It might have been too that the Dr's had called the Priest for last rights )

I ended up in ICU for a month. Physical, speech, and occupational therapy 5 times a week for 3 yrs. I refused to use a wheelchair except when shopping or Dr's appointments.

I still have a slur/pressured speech sometimes and when I am tired my left leg has a drag.

I am back to running and still don't have High Blood Pressure.

Learn from me and take care of it ahead of time.

Stress, diet, exercise. Control those and get on some BP meds.
