Salt rounds today then preload salt this evening for somewhere in Mid MO. Probably Columbia if I had to guess. Then clay to Mason City and rock back to our yard to finish out the week

@NightWind the truck is definitely looking ready, but you know good and well when the water truck driver in elmore sees that pull in he’ll make it a point to go extra heavy on the spray :). @motocross25 good looking pic, hauling salt makes me think you guys are getting for the cold weather? Personally I’m ready for some cooler weather, these last few summers have been oppressive.

I'm ready for winter heck SNOW even! I Jimy and I will be back out there next Tuesday with bells on LOL
@Trashtrucker1707 I haven't been in Elmore in months but you're probably right about the water truck. I might have to pay him to park until I can get in and out LOL.
I have been giving some thought to going OTR for a while but haven't made my mind up yet. I have until OCT when I get a new tag.
    How's every one doing?

Yes sir we are. We picked up ALOT more salt accounts on both sides of the state line and they are trying to get a jump start on it before everyone needs it.
Here’s a question I have. I been noticing my trailer leaning slightly to the passenger side when dumping. I didn’t think too much of it, today I had the guy I was running with stand in front of me while I dump and he said it was leaning over pretty good. Salt load out of a chute at our yard on a narrow scale so I know the load was centered, inside a salt barn so I know I was fairly level. Tires inflated, draft arms on trailer seem good, nothing wrong with suspension or bags. Any thoughts?

Umm just so ya know I'm a ma'am LOL No harm no foul you're not the first won't be the last.
I would check the truck shocks, and air bags. Put a tape measure on both the truck and the trailer at the frame rails (truck) and sub frame on trailer make sure they are the same height when they are aired up and also deflated. I also would check the bushings on the draft arms at the 5th wheel and the center pivots. Also check the 5th wheel jaws to make sure they are tight. Also check the blocking on the 5th wheel.
Let us know what you find

I know @NightWind ! My first part of my response was in reply to @Trashtrucker1707 about running salt already. I thought I “replied” to his post but who knows what I did. It’s a real burden being born dumb. Don’t worry, you’re everyone’s favorite member of the fairer sex on this forum, namely mine! Sorry for any confusion! And thank you for the tips I’m going to be trying all these tomorrow. Luckily I’m runnin with my friend who is a seasoned vet tomorrow. He’ll be an extra set of eyes when i unload and we can see what’s goin on. It’s sketchy enough dumping clay in Mason City, I don’t need my trailer working against me from the get-go. Thanks again for your tips, I’ll definitely keep you posted, ma’am. :)

LOL thanks I need to be someone's favorite beside Jimy's for throwing the ball non stop. :yes2557:
I had a truck that the wishbones were not adjusted correctly and that caused a slight lean. I had that corrected maybe you can check that too with the tape measure.
I HATE clay if it's wet.
Be safe and let me know what's going on, I'd really like to know.

    Anybody work in Illinois?
I'm laughing at the advice here. In Chicago landfills, you literally dump 5 feet next to another dump truck. You'll literally have a bunch of trucks lined up dumping, if one tips, well...dominoes

Never understood this stupidity, esp @ waste management where the signs say to keep 15 ft from each other, yet spotters in EVERY landfill line you up as close as possible

Not many rebels out here! Otherwise things would be better, but instead all the pissy operators and spotters get their way one way or another
