    Hey! Do any of you know of good disael mechanic in San Antonio Texas, I'm looking at truck there and would like to hire a good mechanic to check out a truck for me. Go beyond what I would do.

    I don’t know of anyone that is equipt with the diagnostic stuff needed for the new electronic emissions stuff other than the dealers. For just about anything else there are some great old school guys at Tri-County Diesel in Bracken off of fm 2252 which is in the Retama Park horse track area of Schertz down the rd from Rolling Oaks mall. You will have to take the truck to their shop tho.
    There is another great shop on IH 10 in Seguin but that is to far for you to do what you want to do I’m sure.

    Billy Bob's is on I-37, South of San Antonio just before you hit 1604. They just did some diagnostics on my truck, and they did all our work when I was in the oilfield and we were between mechanics, or needed something big like an engine replaced. They're alright people, too.
