Anybody done it on a older 9400i? Currently have the single behind the sleeper, how hard is it to find the dual setup and is it a pain to convert?

    God prefers Diesels Thanks this.

Semi truck exhaust work and cost is always more than most everyone expects.
You can go on line for Heavydutymfg.com and view the catalog. Probably have to order though a dealer. Walker also has a sight.
Bone yard find would help a lot and you get the frame to muffler brackets that way which otherwise are dealer items.
If you see another truck like yours with duels ask for the last 8 of the vin. Call the dealer and you will be breathless.
There are some good chrome shop places around. Someone will surely be dropping you a line.

That’s a good idea. My buddy has the same truck but with stacks. I’ll check the dealer, I’m sure it’s way high. Maybe someone will chime in with a good aftermarket kit

There’s a place in Mantua Ohio, The Chrome Depot. If you’re anywhere near there. They have so decent prices on flanges, pipes, elbows. You might be able to figure out an easy way to run them. Duals in the back, instead of on the sides might be easier. Looks good too. And much quieter. But a couple straight pipes, a T and the cab mounts. And rubber hangers, mounted to bottom of cab. Make it easy to service, and economical. Might be able to make a custom design, better than factory. Good Luck.

If you have or know a buddy with a mig. wielder we put a sq. long tube across the back of cab and single ex. clamped to end and put two strat. pipes clamped on too the top of tube that is now your muff. it will sound good without the noise of strat. ex. and not add 4in to back of cab with steel bar going across from the single upright over to the other ex. pipe

I too, would check a junkyard. My Pete ( in avatar) had a single muffler under the cab and a Y pipe and what looked like straight pipes going up. Lot cheaper than 2 mufflers. Don't forget the heat guards. Ohio PUCO will stop you for that.

I’ll look around on junk yards, if not I may do something behind the cab. Thanks
