My truck and trailer is too Long per DOT

The 65' problem is because of the pickup pulling a trailer. If you take the box off then it will be considered a tractor/trailer instead of a truck/trailer and you shouldn't be limited to 65'.

I see DOT pulling over hotshots all the time and tbey have a tape measure out. Seems to be an easy payday for them.

It doesn’t matter if you fix it or not. They will just write you up for something else. I keep my truck up to the point I know it’s safe and as legal as I legitimately can keep it. DOT tickets just happen occasionally. Get used to it.
