I'm wondering if Antifa is setting any of these fires.....

Southern California is now entering fire season with the first Santa Ana winds of the year starting tomorrow. If several fires start, I'll be highly suspicious.

 

Far as the campers go... Make sure you save some of that blame for the private campgrounds who allowed campers in, the NFS for also allowing it. Same with the park personal for any state park out there that had campers anywhere near the fires or allowed people in. Campers ain't blameless. Not sure why you would want to go camping with wildfires going. They are known to jump and spread super fast.

They prescribe burn about 30,000 acres a year.

About 4.4 million to 11.8 million acres burned a year before we showed up.

We're a bit behind, eh?

 

You will always be behind, Oregon and Washington are further behind. Remember the USFS Policy until a few years ago was not to let it burn, so I would imagine most are behind. The drought hasn't helped either, last year USFS started a control burn, was going to be 100 acres, 14,000 acres and 12 homes later they finally put it out.
