I ended up getting a preloaded trailer at that Coke Syrup plant down the road from Riviana. I had no idea we got preloaded trailers out of there. Talk about tight backing!!!! I ended running to Kansas City straight through for Sygma. Now I'm at Morton Salt for another straight through load going to Hazlewood, MO

I don't know how y'all do it. It took Menards over 2 1/2 hours to unload me this morning and I bumped the dock here at Sauer in New Century more than an hour and a half ago and I haven't felt the trailer move yet. I had no idea there would be this much live loading and unloading. It appears that our time means nothing to these people, and when you get older like me you realize more and more just how precious time is.

Whenever in those situations always ask dispatch about possible detention pay.

I had 2 short loads back to back. After Hazlewood, I grabbed a Hershey load for Springfield, MO. I lost time yesterday because the trailer I was dropping, well, the battery went out in the reefer. They sent me to the Speedco in Edwardsville. 3 hrs later, out of hours. Luckily I had sense to go into the sleeper. I woke up at midnight and went and got the trailer and brought it in. I sure tried to unload early but they told me to go to sleep. Travis called me saying that other Climate drivers were trying to wake me up. He even said one knocked on the door, and I sleep deep as hell. If it ain't a police knock, or noise ain't right by my ear, I wont hear a thing lol.............where you taking the New Century load to? Usually they load quick as ever. They must be busy today

Oh my goodness! I wish I could sleep like that. I wake up every time the reefer kicks in. After 3+ hours at Sauer, I finally got a green light. I went to shut the doors and there was all of 8 pallets in the trailer. I almost threw up in my mouth. Load is going to Danville IL, but I'm taking it to a drop yard in St. Charles so I can get my home load in Wright City. I only made it to the J in Warrenton because of all the sitting today. Oh well, you'd think I'd get used to it, but the one thing time has failed to teach me is patience.

I love when the reefer runs.....I get really good sleep then. That's why I love those milk runs from Platteville to Columbia or vice versa. Lol, if you go in sleeper for those long delays, you'll be able to shorten your down time when you shut down. I end up using 8/2 splits when that happens

I haven't done a milk run yet. Sounds like the reefer functions as a kind of lullaby for you. For me it's just an alarm clock. Kinda like my Prepass. It goes off at random, flashing red and beeping. Wake up! Wake up! Tell me, how does an 8/2 split work? Do you stay on sleeper for 8 hours, then do something on duty (can you drive?) and then do the last 2 sleeper hours? I've never quite groked the concept.
