Anyone carry a bike of some sort with them, motored or otherwise? I can't help but think how handy it would be, especially in the heavy haul business(when running without escorts) be nice to scope out a loading/unloading area before reaching the point of no return. Also might be nice to go somewhere for dinner when you can't venture away from the interstate.

I used to carry a Montague folding bike inside my truck. It took less than a minute to unfold it and be on my way.
Montague Paratrooper Express Biketommymonza Thanks this. -

If and when I go back on the road I am thinking I will build a cabinet for my back wall and put something like a E-bike in it.
A light enough scooter to carry will only do about 25 and even a 2stroke will only do 40.
Both make you a traffic hazard going down the road and are still to heavy and bulky to conveniently deal with.
I’ve tried out a few electric bikes and I am twisted about buying a collapsible or a full size non collapsing frame.
I rode a full size one in Florida that was as comfortable as you could get.
I’ve ridden all kinds of different scooters being my buddy keeps like 8 at the cottage for everyone to get around on.
Non of them excel in comfort and I always feel like a target riding on one.
At least with a electric bike you can ride the sidewalk.
I used to own a couple off road Go Peds that were super convenient and collapsible but Johnny Law does not like them ridden on roads or sidewalks.Dino soar, cke, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this. -
TripleSix, InTooDeep and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

Yes, if your OTR a bike is worth every penny.
I have a Montague fold up that fits nicely in a roof top cargo carrier mounted on the headache rack.
I used to destroy bikes carrying them out in the weather but this thing is going on 2 years old & she’s holding up well.
If you enjoy sitting around the Truckstop polishing your shiny stuff & watching the Swift trucks roll by then it might not be worth it, but no way I’d be out here long haul with out it.
Get some exercise, get something decent to eat, see something beautiful. Trucking can be great -
I've got a buddy at mercer who has a heavy duty lift for his road king which is safely secured behind his cab.He also has a 15 speed mountain bike.
