Ask the company if any of the managers or owners have cameras in their personal vehicles, if so, you'd like to see how they drive

    Get used to em..
    They are the future.
Whether company policy or a insurance requirement, or even federally mandated.
Give it ten years or so.

It’s gettin crazy. When we go on out of town trips a lot of us will conference call. Well a buddy of a buddy was saying he got assigned a new truckwhere he works. He was driving it the first day and yawned and said a screen popped up on the instrument cluster saying “Driver Fatigue Warning”. He’s also kind of a known BS’er, but it’s one of those things where I kind of wouldn’t doubt it. Can anyone verify if they have that technology on board? I thought he said it was a Mack but I could be wrong.

100% guess, so take it as you will...

My guess is he hit a bump or hard breaking or something that set off the sensor. Sometime in the record interval, usually not too long, but still like 40 seconds at my last company, he yawned. The company has selected yawn as a criteria for the 3rd party examiner to forward to them. There are any number of criteria I know of. Yawning, no seat belt, cell phone use, camera blocked are ones I know of. I'm sure there are more. That's in addition to the automatic ones like speeding, following too close, etc.

This seems a lot more likely. I agree.

So........You did not do a Full Stop at a Stop sign. (Regardeless its location). You are going to see a lot of that, and it will affect your Driver records and your "Status" with the Company. Good luck and Happy Trails Driver.
