All,
We are new and running under our own authority. We have some prospective clients and they need paperwork from us. I am assuming that we need to provide them with insurance, business name, contact information, DOT information, etc. Does anybody have any suggestions or even better, what they have put together so I can make sure we don't look dumb going to these clients? TIA

You also need terms and conditions, what to do and charges for refused loads, damages are to be valued at cost price and not retail as claims do not include profit to to consignee. Also charges to shipper or whoever pays transportation charges on loads delayed by issues not controlled by carrier. Delay charges when loading and unloading, and these terms and conditions should be included in carrier packet sent to brokers and shippers when hauling directly for shipper. Also methods for calculating time spent waiting, phone calls, elog displays whatever method you choose.
