Oh ive followed enough of em outta queen creek, but I had our extended frame built for it, so had a 48 but enough off the front that it was never bad. Of course you know we do that OTR with 53s. Since our new KWs have an extended frame but also a larger sleeper than before.

Wish they woulda specced the KWs with hoses out of the catwalk like that other stretch frame was.

Every single galvanizing plant I've ever been to, spray paint is part of the "QC" process. Guys will either hit the stuff with wire brushes or flapwheels after it comes out of the tank. Then touch it up with spray paint...Heck even at our fab shop, if anything had to be welded after galv. It would get sprayed with a gray "cold galv" paint, which is perfectly acceptable QC-wise...but not what you want to find on your brandy-new wagon...

We had some brand new Fontaines that the paint flaked right off from poor preparation before painting...this was several years ago, maybe they've got better(?)
