wouldn't surprise me if they did. I picked the tumbler. It's bright white with a red Wylie logo. It'll make a good target for my son-in-law to sight in his rifle. Hunting season is just around the corner.

Yeah he can block callers and texts lol. And I agree with you, the mental health benefit of telling them to pi*ss off is worth the loss in $’s.

They have me headed back to Cali out of Laurinburg. I had my departure time from home set for Friday morning. My DM called me between doctor's appointments on Thursday to give me a heads-up about the load. They show it delivering on Monday, but told him I wasn't leaving until Friday no matter when they want it there. Told him it would be Weds before I could deliver...Fri-Weds morning for a 3200 mile load (counting the deadhead from home) isn't unreasonable if you ask me. Of course, I am running behind where I wanted to be because the trailer needed a repair, the tarp had holes that needed patching, the yahoo loaders didn't pin the header in right, and a few other items were amiss. I wanted to be to the GA line the 1st day, but didn't even make Columbia before my 14 was up. I'll still make it by Weds, but with less hours to run once empty,. I also told that if they intend on making me work the plant out here, they can put someone else on this load because I am still not myself when it comes to stamina after this kidney stone crap.

Lonesome and Dale thompson Thank this.

This type of freight has changed me in ways I would never have imagined. Forget my dislike or hate for my current employer, I am talking about how I run. I use to be the 'never stay at a customer' and 'only break at truckstops, only use rest areas as an emergency' type driver. Plus, I HAD to shower every morning. Now, staying at a customer is fine with me. Sleeping in a rest area...okey dokey, and it's now 'when did I shower last?(if I can't smell myself, then neither can others, especially with mask wearing and social distancing), and when I shower, it's usually in the evening, especially after an unload or a live load when I have been soaked with sweat. Hauling glass has forever changed my style of running.

I think that Wylie might me dicking me around. Their way of getting rid of employees isn't to fire them (unless it's a driver with a serious safety issue). Their way is to put the employeee in an area or a job position that they hate, then the employeee quits, thus saving them paying unemployment. They won't admit they do that, but I have seen numerous people treated that way. Now, in May, I told them that they never...excuse me I mean NEVER need to send me to work out here out of the Lathrop plant. Not that I have a problem with the people, they're alright to work with, it's just the chitty runs. You can't make a living out here out of this plant. When my DM talked to me about this load, I specifically said that they don't need to keep me out here long, I just can't afford it after all the kidney stone time off...plus my truck's license plate is expiring at the end of the month...I have a clue to what they're planning...my plate was Fedex'd to the plant's office and is sitting there waiting for me when I get there tomorrow. I got news, I can't put my own plate on...the current one has those anti-reversing screws and I don't carry any tools except a crescent wrench, a ratchet, an extension and 1 size socket to remove A-frames... that's it. They'll have to pay a mechanic to cut the heads off the bolts and remove them...

Those gift choices are pretty hilarious man.

Because those just happen to be the exact same gift options Maverick is giving us too, haha.

It's like they are actually the same company. Maybe there's something we don't know about.

Headed to Corona, CA for a 5 am Fri delivery, which is o.k. with me since I had a whopping 11.5 hrs on my 70 for today, tomorrow and Friday. Load wasn't suppose to load until tomorrow, but some of the glass I was delivering to Lathrop was the same glass going to Corona, so they just left it on my trailer and added to it. Told my DM to get me the flying fornication out of Cali...w/o our Prepass, pulling into Cali scales is a crap shoot...and I don't like crap.

Dale thompson and Lonesome Thank this.

So Wylie is too cheap for prepass? Did they have it before or was that just the Moore trucks?

A couple years ago Maverick got rid of prepass and replaced it with drivewise. There are a lot less scales that I can bypass now but I can't remember which ones. I remember that I was really pissed for the first couple months, then I took a year vacation to the Philippines so I lost track of it all.
