...And of course there won't be any left for the working stiffs when they get back.

My center is alternating food for AM and PM drivers on different days, and I keep getting screwed and having to switch between AM and PM on the wrong day, so I haven’t gotten anything since Monday.

    McUzi and Cardfan89 Thank this.

And... just like that, my “systems” career at Saia is over. I was told today that beginning Monday I have a scheduled bid run. It’s not a high mileage run, but I’ll squeeze my way into a yard horse at the hub to make some extra money to make up for it.

So, not one day spent away from home and on a bid in less than 3 months.
Also by sheer coincidence, my 90 day probationary period is over during this weekend.

If only I had a coaster to celebrate such good fortune ;)

This was a false alarm thankfully. Ended up spending the whole week on daytime linehaul with one day off in the middle. 2500 miles in 4 days without living like a vampire at night was pretty refreshing for a change.

Well, my first 2 weeks on my own are done. First week I covered for someone on vacation. Second week 3 days running wild and 2 covering for someone who took couple days off. So far so good. I have plenty of LTL experience so I know whats expected of me. Still trying to deal cameras, no talking on phone and no CB. But..take the good with the bad. The more terminals I see the better. Thanks for the help!

I see a bunch of trucks with CB’s at the hub I run to. Just can’t talk on it while you’re driving. No reason you can’t listen to what’s going on.

Thats micromanaging not letting you talk on the cb. What happens if you are coming up on something and need information to get around it?

    MACK E-6 Thanks this.

Act l like 80% of today's truck drivers out there and not turn something on that I don't have.
