Hey guys! Looking for some advise.

I usually pull tankers so this is out of my expertise - looking for some advise.

    I run a 15’ T800 Tri-Drive, 16k front, 69k rears with a 4 axel trailer.

I got a load thrown my way and I’m not sure if I’m allowed to even accept it!

100,000 lbs crane parts. It’s only going 400 miles but I want to make sure my stuff can handle it ( as I said, heavy is not my expertise )

Load is 20’ long, 10’ high and 10’ wide

Having the 8 axel sans permits would I even be legal ? ( driving in North Dakota and Montana )

You’re truck will handle it no problem but something that heavy needs to be going on an RGN not a regular flatbed. I’d be asking more questions about the actual “carne parts” and getting pictures. And it will be needing OSOW permits even if your trailer will handle the weight.

@Rontonio....you have had experience out there. My opinion is probably can if they alow for over height on that setup. If not step 4 axle or rgn 4 axle. What does Montana and Dakota alow on a quad ? Inter Bridge? Can you distribute the 100 k correctly on your axle groups ? Those are questions that need answered. I can on my setup but it has to be almost perfect to get there.

Well my boss booked it, he thinks it can be done.
16k front, 65-69k drives, 65k over quad axels.

Going to pretty much run 50mph or less for those 400 miles. Wishing I had my own trailer for this run! Sad I have to give up that extra 10%.

Your 7 axle inner bridge matters more than your axle ratings if you’re trying to do this without permits. And that won’t be a cheap ticket if you get caught. Otherwise your permit should spell everything out.

Yeah, boss got the permits! I won't risk that being so heavy.

Sorry didn’t see this till now

    So many questions

    First off crane parts?

    One piece? Or multiple pieces?

If it is a house, I would be concerned

If it is a side frame
(Track) then if you can permit for the weight likely ok

Well the trucking company kept the big load and gave me the 90,000lbs track for 1k less!!

At least I don’t have to worry about oversized now, just an overweight permit.

I’ll be delivering in Shelby, MT..... anyone have any hookups for a load around there ( will even go into Canada too! )
