He was just texting his girlfriend and never paid attention ! :)
...i did couple times myself same thing and never got pulled over but seen other drivers stopped because he was just speeding 80mph for some time without good reason to be in the left lane ...

Ok not to hijack but I've had a similar question..

When this sign is posted can a 14 wheeler hit the 3rd lane.?
As I see it, truck only has 6 wheels. Didn't say nothing about wagon wheels, but I'm biased for my own gain.. Opinions..

In that case I would say no. Signs posted like that for trucks tend to have axle numbers instead of tire numbers. So if it said six axles you'd be good...all the signs in my area say "trucks with three or more axles prohibited". I've never seen one with a wheel count before lol

That sign is just another dumb way of saying no trucks in left lane 4 wheeled pickups and slow Prius’ only. Lol! Run bobtail without your inside duels and technically you should be legal.

I wish I own the sign company that sells those signs to states like Michigan and Ohio because I would add on the bottom of that sign on the OHTP “EXCEPT WHEN PASSING” free of charge.

I’ve never had an issue when passing on a two lane, three is a different story like here in Michigan, all trucks (anything over 10k as defined by law) are supposed to be in the two right lane except when exiting to the left.

Michigan dot sign department hired someone with common sense because the interchange of 75 and 696 lacked proper signage for over 40 years, and all of a sudden they decided to put up a sign actually showing the exit lanes.

I run from Pittsburgh to Dearborn weekly so I deal with Ohio and Michigans poor signage lol Michigan has signs that say "all trucks use right two lanes". Why not make everything simple and just make a sign that says "left lane no trucks" and save everyone from confusion? Especially on I75 where both right lanes are ALWAYS blocked by 2 governed trucks

When I was still with R&L we were on the Toll road ALOT running from the yard to Toledo, I personally saw one of my friends and fellow employee move out of merging traffics’ way coming out of the 100 mile marker plaza going westbound. I was behind him, he really had no choice to do it other than dynamite his breaks because an 18 dang near stopped on the acceleration ramp, four wheeler popped out behind him causing a whole chain of events resulting in my buddy diving to the third lane to avoid lock up or collision. Trooper was sitting in the middle right at the cutout past the plaza watching westbound and chased our guy down and nailed him for being in the left lane to the tune of 375$. And probation from the company.
