There never was a "driver appreciation" ANYTHING,( except at my union job) and the only reason these troopers appreciate us, is it gives them something to do, when they aren't scraping drivers off the pavement.
truckdriver31, D.Tibbitt, Snailexpress and 2 others Thank this. -
I noticed the same thing in Iowa, on 218 just north of Waterloo, trucks pulled over left and right. Being driver appreciation week, I could only guess the officers were pulling them over to thank them for all their hard work.

22 inspections with 11 put OOS.
That is terrible numbers from the drivers/truck owners.
They deserve a little appreciation.
I've ran across a few spot inspections in Nebraska while delivering off the beaten path.
Same in North Dakota and Iowa.truckdriver31, D.Tibbitt and magoo68 Thank this. -

Hey I’m feeling it. Purina gave me a nice water bottle with driver appreciation week 2020 on it.
My company showed me appreciation by dispatching me to Seattle.
