Are we sure those are the actual speed or could the speedo be off from Messing with the trans, usually when a truck is specd with 2.xx rears it’s specd with a direct drive trans anyways because the bean counters think they can save half a cent a year on fuel that way

Transmission was not swapped, otherwise I probably would've had this issue earlier than 3 years of having the truck without having this issue. This issue existed prior to having a new clutch put in....that's the only time someone would've touched the transmission.
I can have the mechanic check everything you've mentioned and see if he can find something. As far as ratios and calculator....I'll probably have the mechanic do all of that.

Did you not state in your other thread that the transmission was swapped out and the incorrect transmission model was installed as per the tag?

, have you gps verified the speedo is correct? Because a clutch swap will not change rpm/speed but they might of done something with the sensor, a different trans, rears or tire size are the only way to change speed/rpm

My suggestion would be to record your road speed at say 1500 in each gear. Then take the model number off your transmisson. Go to Eaton's website, download the manual for the transmission and look up each gear's ratio. Plug all that info into a road speed calculator for every gear ratio and see how it compares to what you're actually seeing. Maybe have someone in another vehicle pace you and see if your speedometers match as well.
