Some are the luck of the draw , some go 300k some go 800k before having to replace the One box . There are repairs and servicing you can do on your own , have the Detroit software and or a Module LIke what OTR performance sales can be a big help . I have learned alot and have done numerous fixes and trouble shooting , the forums and other info scattered on the web have been a great help . Yes we all want Gliders but does the current pricing off set a one box ? Im shopping around and easily can spend 15 to 20 k More for a rebuilt Glider with a Engine that is only 3yrs guaranteed , not to mention there are probably 500 to 700 k on this rebuilt block .

You pay your money and take your chances. I had a Series sixty that dropped a liner once and a head gasket once in a million miles..... an in frame and a crate motor, makes a $10K emissions repairs look like a pretty cheap way to get off.....

The reality is that this business is not for the timid, and a $10K repair is just an emissions problem, an electric problem or a good deer strike away.

It's a wear and tear item. Just like anything else.

Nothing lasts forever. Back when it was dpf..it's lifespan was a clean, replace, clean, replace.

About 500 to 600k miles was it's lifespan.

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.
