Where are these faulty products?
In all my years, I have seen only a handful of faulty products, like cobra 21 fires and the sbe final poppers.
What is a good Starter cb for a new trucker?

I recommend you Midland 1001lwx. This is my first CB radio so I'm a rookie here, I can tell this unit is fantastic. I researched CB's for days until I landed upon this one. All the others on the market are way too big for what they are. I didn't want a huge box in my truck taking up unnecessary space. This little thing is the most compact unit I could find on the market, and it works great. Went on a weeklong 4x4 trip with a buddy and our comms worked perfectly the whole time. I'm using it with a 2ft firestick and while my swr readings are very high, the setup still worked great. Although it is a little expensive but worth the money

I love the small-and-compact CBs, owing and using the Midland 1001z, Cobra 19 DX IV and Uniden 520XL. I don't even own a full-size CB anymore.
These little radios provide full legal power at nominal 4W, but don't have some of the adjustment features as their big brothers, which makes them simple and easy to use.
I'm happy with all of these little over-achievers for what they can do for a trucker: communicate. -
For best results to prolong the life of the radio, remove your radio from your vehicle when the engine is not running during extreme temperatures.

Flawed thermometer test or not, it gets hot as a mamma-jamma in a closed vehicle. I left a cell phone in a closed automotive storage compartment the entire month of August this year, and the battery swelled so much the phone opened up.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Yeah I was just being facetious, or trying to be. -
Got it. At least my phone battery was easy to replace since the phone was forced open lol -
rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
