I'm permitted to do intrastate in Texas and California.
I was looking at a load today that picked up and delivered in Washington state but I know that you have to be registered to do intrastate in Washington.
Have any of you done intrastate loads in states that you haven't registered in?
Is it a really expensive proposition if you get caught doing things like this?
Thank you
Doing Intrastate loads in states that you don't have permission to.

i believe you can purchase a one-trip permit to cross the state border.
Edjahman Thanks this. -
Intrastate not interstate... -
Pickup and delivery inside the same state. -
Sometimes they enforce it, other times they don't. Can be a simple purchase of a permit or OOS. If you register with all that require it, be prepared for their tax people to get involved.

What is your home, Texas or California?
Edjahman Thanks this. -
Texas
I like to run out west and I was looking at a Washington to Washington load the other day.
I don't think I'll make intrastate moves illegally because the penalties look pretty steep.
I guess enforcement is spotty in some states but it sounds risky regardless. -
Just make a fake BOL heading to the next state in whatever direction you're going to while doing the intrastate.
Speed_Drums and Edjahman Thank this. -
Good idea!TheLoadOut Thanks this.
