Not even close. A guy made a mistake, that's all. No reason, in this particular case, to shut down the thread,

If anybody is stuck in SoCal tomorrow, Convoy has a load to Aurora CO for just under $4 per mile.

Perhaps it is more psychological than one could think to be able to go much above the contentment level.

For instance, when they pay $5000 from Mn to Pa or $4000 from Chicago to Richmond, VA, I don't have enough predatory instincts in (or simply audacity) to ask for more or even hope for more. At least not until after more dust would settle in these elevated rates.

That's why I'd expect them (brokers as well as shippers) or at least hope that they would have the same sentiment - not to be a baker charging a cow price for a loaf of bread in times of famine - when the times are like they were back in April or May this year.

In this ending quarter of 2020 + June, I've profited already more than in the entire 2019 - above 60K. For the entire year I am already above 90K with a quarter to go - and to be clear that's revenue minus operational expenses. I don't include here neither payroll nor owner's draws.

I won't post rates on regular basis because they create much unnecessary animosity - regardless of whether they are too cheap or too high. When you post them in times of drought, they will tell you that you are cheap and how miserable you are. Then when you post them in good time, they will let you know that you should not show off like that. I am not talking specifically here...also FB that I quit visiting for months now. It is always interesting to see what rates others are getting for a sheer assessment of your own achievements but it is also often a path to a quarrel. I think that after a few years of being on your own should be enough to tell BS from Possible, then even Possible from Real.

As you know, I am of the opinion that you cannot beat the market by much. So if you can get 3.5 grand from Chicago to Carlisle PA - then surely I can do it too because you don't have anything special above what I would not have. BUT If I can do it for $1500 and you can't that's because I am that much more powerful. That's how I see it anyway. The best attesting of whether what you do is right or wrong is whether or not you are still alive and healthy and rolling.

    > Post a 75,000lb excavator.
    > Put RGN in the field on Truckstop.
    > Take four calls in under five minutes, "Will this fit on a hotshot? I got a gooseneck."

    I wouldn't.

Mostly because I wouldn't pay the carrier. I'd sure enjoy hearing about it, though.

    Fair enough.

    Another one:

42' 12" OD Steel pipe. Posted, and with the commdity in the description.

"Can this be loaded in a dry van?"

"If you can figure out how to safely load it and offload it, be my guest."
