Is this a bad truck for 5000 ?? Rusty frame and please take a look.. advice needed

I’d want to see a lot more pics of the rust.

If you think a truck someone is willing to sell for 5k isn’t going to need 10-20 in maintenance (at least) then you need to learn more about cheap used trucks.

Ishift tranny alone will cost you 3 times the price of that truck.

What year is the truck?

 

What is your total budget for a truck? The 3 you have listed here, are all no go's for me based on power plants alone.

 

I say save your money and keep looking.

 

It’s not worth buying a truck for under $20,000 at the absolute lowest. They will cost you more in down time and work than just buying a nicer one. That’s why they can’t give those raggedy piles away.

too expensive to fix. Cummings or detroit, find a truck down south, manual trans, too high of price for that truck
