I have a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia. The wipers have started acting crazy, especially on the slower speeds. It will wipe right for a bit, then wipe quickly 5-8 times quickly and often stops with the wipers straight up or midway down on my windshield. I’m thinking about replacing the switch in the cab unless someone has a different idea.

Not likely to be the multi-function stalk. When those go bad they tend to fall apart in your hand.

It's most likely the wiper motor. If you replace it you might as well replace the linkage as well. They go bad and make the wipers swing too wide in both directions. I bought the linkage with a new motor included for around $250. Installed it myself in a truckstop parking lot. Easy.
