Look, all I'm saying is he seems like a super cool guy, probably fun at parties, an asset to truckers everywhere, and great at his job. That's all.

Edit: *cough* I've also got an empty 48' spread, located in South Texas. *cough*

You have to finish his quote though; Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual. But now I know why I have always lost women to guys like you. I mean, it's not just the uniform. It's the stories that you tell. So much fun and imagination.

I feel that this whole issue about broker transparency is about "double brokering" and "blind shipments". There's a million reasons for those two to exist, and none of them involves us drivers. I don't think that it's illegal also. So let them (shippers & brokers) fight their own fights. Let's stop being "useful idiots" in this fight.

To be fair, that was the only meme of that I could find when I went looking that wasn't either butchered all to hell, or had something other than the movie as a background.

Like everything else, there are an awful lot more bad memes than good ones.

Lots of carrier agreements don't have such a provision but I'm certain they will increase as time goes on. Just like the ACH deposit forms are no adding verbiage where the brokerage can make WITHDRAWS as well as deposits. No thanks...paper check for me, sir! Anyway, I wouldn't worry about that provision. If you get what you need to be profitable and competitive that's all that matters. As far as TQL, they have deep pockets and will pay accordingly. I would highly recommend working with them (especially just starting off) just be absolutely sure to get all your ducks in a row and IN WRITING so they don't screw you. Also, don't fret over the indemnification clauses either. Most states have ruled them unenforceable and will ignore them if ever in court. That might be why so many agreements are now beginning to push for arbitration so they can avoid a court room if things got too hairy on an issue.
