Moving the truck at a customer

Heck i'd go PC and say the security guard made me move. Problem solved

 

Here’s my real world answer: I’d move really slowly, 3 mph in 3rd gear. The ELD won’t trip below 5 mph.

 

The officer was absolutely correct. That being said. I’ve done my fair share and then some of creeping along at less than 5 mph to avoid tripping my elog.

 

I just move it, and never speak of it again.

 

Use the split sleeper berth.

 

Only if your logging system bumps you to on duty, other wise just leave it off duty. Sometime I log out of the system if I'm off duty.

 

I think. The intent of the new sleeper split, is to help address these situations.

 

We were told to use PC,and put “PCDM” In the notes.

 

A driver was recently busted at the company I'm at for advancing a load using PC. The DOT officer charged the driver with falsifying logs and there's a mandatory court appearance involved. This was sent out to all drivers, with the message to not abuse PC.
