Here’s my real world answer: I’d move really slowly, 3 mph in 3rd gear. The ELD won’t trip below 5 mph.

The officer was absolutely correct. That being said. I’ve done my fair share and then some of creeping along at less than 5 mph to avoid tripping my elog.

I think. The intent of the new sleeper split, is to help address these situations.

We were told to use PC,and put “PCDM” In the notes.

A driver was recently busted at the company I'm at for advancing a load using PC. The DOT officer charged the driver with falsifying logs and there's a mandatory court appearance involved. This was sent out to all drivers, with the message to not abuse PC.
