What would you guys recommend to do at 500k miles? or would you do the Diesel Force, then treat your fuel ups with the 8oz of Pittsburgh Power liquid.

I like to replace as much as I can on my own. I'd probably remove parts and clean them individually, so they are less likely to be seized up when they fail. It takes longer, and it is cheaper, but I also won't be able to clean some of the parts that the Diesel Force service is supposed to get to.

If I didn't like to work on my own truck, I would just get the Diesel Force service done and let the shop deal with the parts when they fail. I wouldn't have much of a problem with taking this approach, but I haven't been able to find a reliable shop in my area.

I want to clean both the emissions systems on both my trucks since they have 500k miles. Hoping to get at least 50% of the soot out of there. I understand that it is inevitable that the one box will fail one day, but what we all want is to get the most out of our machines. With that being said, it cant hurt to get it cleaned with diesel force and also possible add the Pittsburgh power liquid to each fill up. Im hoping to get at least 700k miles out of that one box.

I ran 3 gallons of the Max Mileage through my truck, roughly 55k miles, and I was tracking my DEF tank to tank. I saw no change in my DEF consumption over that time so since that was all I could use to measure if it was a miracle additive or not I stopped using it. It’s now been 3 months without it and my DEF consumption is the same as it’s been all along.

I did not go have the Diesel Force cleaning, it stands to reason that doing both would have benefits over doing one or the other.

What is the cost of the Diesel Force cleaning versus “fixing” your emission system for good? That would be another thing I’d look at.

If you remove your after treatment system, it might be hard to find a place that will work on it while you're on the road. You'll want to consider more than just the cost difference between cleaning and removing it.

If I had the Detroit one box system, I'd probably be more inclined to just get the Diesel Force cleanings done periodically if it works. I probably wouldn't use any additives, other than injector cleaner, anti gel, or algaecide as needed.

He runs his trucks in the TX oilfield and mentioned deleting his trucks in a different post. That’s why I mentioned weighing the cost of the cleaning versus just deleting them.

That's correct, i am weighing my options. I'm going to try the cleaning route first. The trucks have been meticulously maintained. Im curious to see the before and after videos of the cleaning.

I called Pittsburgh Power on a recommendation from a friend. The guy who answered the phone at around 7am was named Bruce. I told him the problem and he said we can fix that, we've seen it before, just bring it down and we'll get you running like new. So i came down the next day and they looked at it and quoted me $3300. Ouch. I paid it and was on my way the next day. A day later the exact same problem came back. I called back and they said bring it in and we'll figure it out. So i brought it back a few days later and they told me i needed to pay another $1200 i think it was. Reluctantly i agreed.and was on my way the next day. A day or so later the same problem came back again. I called them and told them i was very unhappy having paid over $4000. This time we danced around for a week or so and they weren't calling me back. So i called and asked for Bruce because he was the first guy i talked to who told me they would take good care of me. It was at this time i learned he is the owner of Pittsburgh Power. This time when i called and asked for him i was told he would not speak to me. Apparently he was hiding under his desk like a coward. I asked for a refund, at least for the 12 hours of labor and they said no way. I asked for Bruce again. They refused. I said then what is next? They said bring it back and give us another $10,000 and this time we will fix it correctly.

This is a scam company. With a scam owner who doesn't care at all for the customers he screws over. My recommendation is steer far clear of this horrible, lying, incompetent company and its cowardly owner, Bruce.

They are absolutely the world's largest scumbags! They tried to literally force me into out of frame. I had to tow it out of their shop in pieces to a REAL shop that did an IN FRAME for me for less than half of what PP was trying to push on me. Cost me thousands of dollars in down time. I seriously contemplated violence.
