Hello. I recently purchased a 2004 4300 with dt466 195 hp and automatic transmission. I can't read the transmission tag. It's a 5 speed overdrive with manual shift selection and it has a park position, hyd brakes, which model transmission is this. Thanks

Call dealer parts dept.with last 8 of vin#, or post it here and if HeavyD is in a good mood he will be able to find the info that you need........
Heavyd Thanks this. -
More then likely and Allison 1000 or 2000 series.
At545 and mt643 were 4spds and obsolete by then. 3000 series has an electronic shifter -
Thanks for the info. I suspect it is a 2000 series but which one? Some posters say it's the light duty model due to park position but that may have been standard with hyd brake.

Also, like everyone else I could use more power. It says 195. Is it possible to plug and play a used ecm. That's half the price of a questionable aftermarket tune.
-
Allison 2400. Not sure about the ecm though.
-
Thank you. Will a Alison 2400 hold up to a gcvw of 30-35k on a regular basis

Check this out, its from Allison. Looks like it can, but you are maxing it out. Also, like you said, your engine is under powered.
