A guy named Bob. Robert, Robbie, Bobby or Stewart would also be acceptable. Definitely not from anyone who's name starts with A

I would submit that the retiring owner operator is retiring because his equipment needs replaced and it doesn’t make sense to do so with limited years left. Plus, more than likely no warranty.

I am watching a few auction websites. Getting a feel for what I could afford or not. It's entertaining and informative at the same time. Best of luck to you!

Or they simply have had enough of trucking, or medically can no longer truck any more. Warranty isn't all it's cracked up to be.

What are you looking for? Where do you live and what type of trucking are you going to do?

The best place to buy truck is really from a private person that took care of it that for whatever reason is getting out of trucking retiring medical reason downsizing whatever.

When you buy a truck like that you may pay a little more than what the market value is but you'll have every receipt for the whole time that person owned the truck and you can see him you can see his place you can see what the truck looks like while he's still most likely using it.

Auctions are not always but often junk that people trying to get rid of. I have known of guys that literally bought a truck at an auction pulled out and drove up the hill and it blew up. Others have been more fortunate. Auctions are a complete and total unknown.

A dealer can take an old used and abused truck and give a detailer a couple hundred dollars and make it shine like a beautiful woman.

They'll change the oils and clean the engine so you can't see any leaks and they'll tell you it's the most wonderful truck in the world.

Best place is from a private seller that took care of his stuff.
