    That's a good transmission. If electrical problems start giving you headaches, it costs about $2500-3000 to convert it to manual. I did it on two of my trucks

    That truck might actually have a 99 engine in it from the factory. $16,000 is cheap and surely that is negotiable. I don't even think banks will finance a truck that old so right there the number of serious buyers is already limited. If you don't like the auto put a manual in it. Look at these guys paying $175,000 for a truck hauling for the same rates you can get with a $16,000 truck. If it needed another $16,000 sunk into it even then it is still better than the $175,000 truck.
