Hello, I am looking to purchase a used 2015-2016 Volvo automatic. Can anyone recommend a dealer, preferably in the south/midwest area? Would prefer to buy from a dealer for peace of mind and warranty option.

Found Bruckners and they have a wide selection but seem a little pricey.

There's a dealer in Nashville that sells used Volvo's that were leased to Averitt Express and First Fleet.
Trucks are well cared for during the lease. All the trucks are red.
Can't remember the name of the dealer, but shouldn't be hard to find.
They usually have some white ones that were leased to other companies.
Those Volvo automatics are a dream to drive; best automatic out there.

Wherever you buy, dealer or not, keep emotion out of your decision. you are buying a tool. Get a oil analysis done on the engine tranny and rears, have a dyno run with a blow by test, get a ecm dump so you can look at things like mileage as compared to idle hours and find a mechanic you can trust to go over the whole truck with a critical eye. If whoever you want to buy from won't let you do this then run.
Yes you will spend some money doing this, maybe only to find out you need to keep looking but it will be money well spent

Thanks for the tip. You referring to Nacarato? That's all I could find out of Nashville.

Sounds like a great idea. However, I am not sure how to even go about to doing this. How would I find if this service was offered in the area I am trying to purchase the truck in?

You may want to do a bit more research before you commit to a big investment. Google semi tractor pre purchace inspection, semi tractor oil analysis. Learn what these services entail and what they are looking for. You will likely be buying a WELL USED tractor with lots of miles and many repairs in the future. Sometimes old and cheap are not the best route. Downtime equals no income. Good Luck

How are you planning to insure the truck? Through whoever you will lease the truck to? As a new driver, you won't be able to get insurance, otherwise, will you?

Added. I don't know anything about their trucks, but I saw an advertisement saying that Schneider Trucks was lowering the prices on their used stock that they are trying to sell. The picture included some Volvos.

Get some miles driven with a company before owning.
