I don’t know, I didn’t ask. Less than a day for sure. He said the only thing that hung him up at all was the AC line going to the sleeper the fitting didn’t want to come loose.

Got this one in for a couple odds and ends. Changed out the roof lights from clear LED Kenworth style, put the grill bars on, changed out the lights off the mirrors. Going to get some new windshields so the visor is off… Has me thinking I might as well get me a new visor that’s polished instead of painted.
Tug Toy, Texasgordo, 2CAN and 9 others Thank this. -

Yeah I looked over all of Mr Shivers work, nothing for flat glass trucks that looks quite like what I want tho. I can vouch he makes a good product at a very fair price.
Swapping lights sucks. 3 holes, 2 for bolts one for wires: only one lines up real good from the Kenworth style to this style. Holes are also different sizes. Also found with these particular lights, the gasket is .. not the best it could be. It has a fatty kinda area where the wires would go thru, it’s thicker than the rest of the rubber, but the light bottom profile perfectly matches the roof contour.....plus like a little rubber neck in the same area that comes up around the wires where hway come thru the roof. Had to cut the neck off the rubber and it still don’t lay quite flat. Going to actually pull the gasket out and got some sheet rubber coming to make a complete new set.
That’s all without pulling the headliner-
If you want to delete horns you’ll be pulling the headliner out anyway.Texasgordo, D.Tibbitt, SAR and 3 others Thank this. -

Well someone decided to Fire it Up.
You know that outcome.
I got a good buddy down here in Florida that lost his arm up to his elbow. He was a mechanic and working on the motor on a Big loader with it running and the fan kicked in and sucked his hand in.
It was so mangled that he had them Lop it off 3 months after the accident.Last edited: Apr 23, 2020
