    I remember as a kid listening to truckers complaining how badly the seats from those old trucks hurt their backs. This in the 70's. Earlier trucks must have been even worse.

    yeah, i never had an air ride seat. can't recall exactly what the "suspension" in the seat was, but, if you wore false teeth? you'd be better advised to not put them in your mouth, till you got to the roadside diner.

    oh gawd. i remember driving a straight truck a couple of times when my tractor was in the shop, and before mandatory seat belt laws. i'd be sliding all over the place. and those seats in those trucks the company had were rock solid hard.
