I wasn't referring to you. It's an inside joke between @Midwest Trucker and myself. Sorry for the confusion.

I vote myself in as the Treasurer, the one who carries the money bag, a.k.a. Scooter Iscariot, the owner of a white Volvo.

I bought my new truck and trailer 2 weeks before that thread was started. 2019 was a tough year, but I'm still here and enjoying it. Everything normally runs in cycles, but this pandemic seems to be disrupting the normal cycle. Not sure yet if that's a good or a bad thing.

I have it on seriously good authority, have enough money saved by years end to carry you for at least 60 days. I can't disclose the source, but they have never steered me wrong.

Do you mean as a trucker, or in general? If you're friend is speculating that things in the US will get crazy after the election, then having cash or some other kind of tangible assets (like gold) that can be bartered with would be much better than having money in the bank. If people start to panic, there will be a run on the banks, and nobody will be able to get to their money, regardless of how much or how little they have saved.

Midwest Trucker and User666 Thank this.
