high seems ok low and medium positions seem to be the same strength very weak holding back power with low being slightly more anyone else had this problem ?

Need more info...what year? When was the valve lash done last? Do you have any fault codes? What type of turbo do you have? How are you driving it? What engine speed are you using?

Try using about 1700-1800 rpms for the engine brakes and see if that slows more. Do you have a boost gauge? If you have 600HP with your DD16, I think you should have a higher "redline." Just don't overspeed the engine. I think the DD16 is the only Detroit offered with a Turbo Compound vs a "regular" Asymmetric Turbo.
I think the first valve lash is done at 50k miles and then every 100k there after. So at 10k miles you should be fine. -
Woops! Here's the correct info on valve lash:
100k first and then 500k there after.
