Still make mistakes

I pulled into a janky gas station/Kroger parking lot to run across the street to the bank ATM. On the way out I went down a steep incline and the rear of the trailer caught it bad, it broke a couple welds and bent the rear frame of the trailer where the tail lights are. It’s the section that runs side to side at the very rear of the trailer. The trailer has ramps so the rear section rides lower than a standard hotshot trailer.

Would it be best to cut out the section and weld in new metal or is it ok to massage the metal back and reweld it as is?

I opted to cut out and replace the metal, it’s probably not necessary from a structural perspective but I can’t get it to look good enough by just working it back into place. To me atleast, it’s noticeable.
