they always say their water is froze up in the winter
the water lines freeze to the bay in the cold months

Saw a Schaffer truck behind about 5 others at Diamond Wash (not washout, wash) instead of driving across town to one of the dedicated trailer washouts. Kinda made me think of you.Midwest Trucker, fordconvert and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
lester, 4mer trucker, 2CAN and 10 others Thank this.

The main thing is to keep the salt off in winter. Problems will outweigh any savings, especially will the new treatments they’re using.
sealevel, fordconvert, Farmerbob1 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Talk to me.... you can't keep the paint on anything steel........up here
fordconvert, Farmerbob1 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I am living quite comfortably on the mileage I earn. If I wasted money on washes like some other drivers, I would have to watch my money more closely.Opus and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Man, Bob is frisky these days. Must be that bump in pay he got moving from CRETE to Shaffer

I’d recommend a Ryobi leaf blower instead of wasting time at the wash out. Unless there is blood all over the trailer of course.Brownyjr36, rollin coal and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
So wait a sec...you're picking up dirty trailers...why aren't the drivers who previously used it cleaning it out? It should be on them to get a washout and drop it. Like are they getting you and a half dozen other o/o's to just put up with it and wash out the trailer before they go get a load?
That would drive me nuts.
