You. Weren’t. In. A. Washout. Lane. Lol. You were literally at a truck wash.

Saw a Schaffer truck behind about 5 others at Diamond Wash (not washout, wash) instead of driving across town to one of the dedicated trailer washouts. Kinda made me think of you.

Nah, I’m not running my mouth. And like I said, I was raised to take pride in myself and my equipment. I’ve never once hauled “general” freight, operating on low margins. I’ve always been in one niche or another. I guess that’s where the luck comes in that so many talk about. When someone comes and whines about waiting in line and “wasting” money washing a truck more than 6 times a year all while leaving tens of thousands of dollars on the table running on a mileage contract then I have every right to speak up on an open forum. There’s plenty of pictures of my equipment, past and present, on these forums so maybe look around a minute before accusing me of running my mouth.

The main thing is to keep the salt off in winter. Problems will outweigh any savings, especially will the new treatments they’re using.

I take pride in different things. Being on time. Maintaining equipment. Not wasting money washing my truck because the chrome isn't shiny enough.

I am living quite comfortably on the mileage I earn. If I wasted money on washes like some other drivers, I would have to watch my money more closely.

the last couple of months have been the most profitable for me ever since a owner operator (Reefer). It’s time to jump ship sir you’re missing out on all this money.

I’d recommend a Ryobi leaf blower instead of wasting time at the wash out. Unless there is blood all over the trailer of course.

So wait a sec...you're picking up dirty trailers...why aren't the drivers who previously used it cleaning it out? It should be on them to get a washout and drop it. Like are they getting you and a half dozen other o/o's to just put up with it and wash out the trailer before they go get a load?

    That would drive me nuts.
