Went to Vegas once. For 4 hours. Then I left. Won't go back. Don't understand the attraction.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Hospitality and tourism are almost dead along with airlines. How can these businesses lose 80% of their revenue and survive? The government largess has to end someday. Then the bankruptcy’s can begin.

I agree, the strip is boring, but that wasn't a reason I moved here anyway.UsualSuspect and LoboSolo Thank this. -
The best part for me was coming over the last high hill and seeing the lights of Vegas at midnight. Miles away, no noise, but beautiful view.
mjd4277, Dino soar, Snailexpress and 3 others Thank this. -
Gotta give the governor some credit. Locking down things sucks but when tourists come from so many highly infected states, he has to protect his residents there. Not a Republican or Democrat thing. When that strip is booming, its shoulder to shoulder. Las Vegas would have been a hot bed if they did a full blown reopen. These times shall pass. Folks have to be patient.
Just passing by and Chinatown Thank this. -
The amount of money not spent because of lack of conventions is probably easy to calculate.
But the amount of money not lost at the casino's by gambler's is just an estimation. But those gambler's air fare and hotel rooms plus food are being spent in their home states so it is still getting into the economy. -
We plan on retiring there, 1/2 between my family and hers. Neither of us gamble, but we do like a goo restaurant, which there are plenty of, and friends find off strip shows and we go to those. No state income tax, and we both like dry arid weather, can't stand the humidity.
