4400 a month ? No way I would do that. Take your taxes and road expenses out of that too. You would make more money at McDonald's.

4400 a month but remeber since u will be a 1099 contractor u will be paying alot more taxes than normal.

If they give you the opportunity to learn the business , as in negotiating your own rates , and working off load boards or just booking your own loads in general, and its something you wanna do . Id say its worth a shot , if you want it...

if you are tied to a dispatcher and you arent able to book your own freight it defeats the whole purpose of running a business and you should not do it.

Almost 4400 monthly net? That's the million dollar question is it before or after taxes? If its after taxes, then you ain't doing too bad. Company drivers can make that fairly easily depending on the company. My goodness though, it's a lot of work to come out about the same but then again, folks don't necessarily work for themselves because it's financially better.

Yeah they say its not, but it doesnt count the taxes for the 1099 I'm betting that is a pretty penny

I’d say about any company, it’s only 1,098.33/week.
    Before taxes.
So, taxes is usually 1 full week, plus not quite half of another.
So if the 4K month net minus 1500 leaves around 2500/month.
Divide that by 4 weeks, is $625/week take home.

looks good on paper though, doesn’t it?
