I started in cabovers by haven't ever driven any of them that were made in the 90's.. I did get to look around in one and swore if I ever had to buy a truck (yeah, no) It would be a flat floor cabover.. but I never EVER go that itch. This is the VW Constellation. I'd drive one!

    No.
There is a feature build in the airride so that even if the driver doesn't lower his airbags when uncoupling, the back end will stay level.

    Look at the 3min50 mark.
    That's the airride control.

...........but many those displaced on linehaul are then going to try get into these specialised fields causing a chronic oversupply and subsequent rate war.

Judging by the quality of the average driver these days, I don't think the specialized folks have much to worry about.

    You got me thinking...
Freightliner still makes the Argosy (in North Carolina), but I believe all are right hand drive and exported.
Is it legal to drive a RHD tractor in the US? Also, would a new Argosy pass US emissions?

Not only speaking about drivers , but companies as well.
Fools or desperate people no matter their level of expertise who have money and are willing to give it a go can harm your business. I have seen and lived it a couple of times. They may not survive and can lose all they have all the while subsidising every job. In the end they either learn to swim at huge expense to all or drown. I'll give you an example , the company that operates one of the biggest CAT dealers in the world decided to set up a heavy haulage transport company and operate the same routes I do.For the last about 8 years I have to keep hearing , but XXXX will do it 20% cheaper. Our margins have been nonexistent for about 5 years now so 20% cheaper is not possible. I know someone in the holding companies financial team and they tell me the holding company subsidizes them by a few million each year.
